I have done the Sambu 10-day deep cleanse every year for 15 years, sometimes twice in a year. The 10-day cleanse omits all solid foods and you subsist on what's in the kit. There is the elderberry juice sweetened with honey that you mix with water, the tea, the fiber you mix with the juice in place of meals, etc. The first couple of days are hard as in headaches from detoxing the blood and kidneys, but by day 4, I'm feeling so good about what I've accomplished and no lack of energy. I lose an average of 12-15 pounds each time. There are modified versions of this diet that allow you to eat food and there are 3-day kits and 5-day kits if the 10 day seems intimidating.
