I knew that this scale was going to be pretty bad the second I lifted it out of the box. It is extremely lightweight (in a cheap sort of way).When I got the scale, I noticed it gave ridiculously inaccurate body fat readings. It told me I was 15% body fat, then 12%, and then 14%, one reading after the other during the same minute. Not only did the scale body fat readings vary wildly, they were also incredibly inaccurate I am actually about 25% body fat, so the scale was 10% off. The scale told my unathletic boyfriend that he was 5% body fat! My actual weight was inconsistent with this scale, too. I would step on it, and it would read 120. Then, I would step on it again immediately after, just turning the scale at a slightly different angle, and it read 124.5! This was extremely disturbing to me. I had to have this scale in the exact location and step on it EXACTLY to get the same reading.
I thought I had purchased a faulty scale, so I exchanged it for another one, and the same things happened.
$29.99 sounds like a great deal for a scale, but it is too good to be true. I just bought a Health-O-Meter body composition scale to replace this one, and I love it. Spend an extra ten bucks to get that one. You won't regret it!
