I'm a woman and not a body builder, but I love this protein powder for a super quick breakfast or an evening snack.It gives you clean burning energy, so to speak, without the blood sugar crash of candy bars or other less than optimal snack products.It dissolves well with some vigorous shaking in any sealed container--I just use an ordinary bowl-shaped tupperware container.

It contains no fructose, and is barely sweetened with stevia extract.That's fine because I can add my own sources of sweetness in the form of organic soy milk that I buy in bulk from Costco.I had my family try it and they couldn't tell this apart from ordinary ovaltine or chocolate soy milk.Even if you're using water or milk, unless you're hyper vigilant about sugar intake, adding a bit of your own sweetener (I hate artificial sweeteners, I'd rather add raw, real sugar) would still bring your sugar intake far below most of those other "protein shake" products out in the market while still delivering a dose of high quality protein (whey is superior to all other sources of popularly available protein powders according to the sources I've researched).

Almost any company can produce decent, good-tasting, cheap whey, but doing the same for casein is a trickier proposition.ON has done a solid job with this casein.Mixing it with low-fat or nonfat milk makes for a nice, creamy shake.

A couple of tips:don't bother trying to mix this with a fork or a shaker bottle.You'll get clumps and you'll hate it.Casein demands a blender.

DESIGNER WHEY The Biggest Loser Protein 2GO Pak, Blue Blueberry, 8-Count Carton Review

Personally I found this product in poor taste (literally). It is way too expensive for the amount of protein that you get. I have used several different types of protein and some have a bad taste. This is one of them. You can really taste the protein. I have tried the Biggest Loser Protein in the canister (chocolate flavor) and it was not bad. Personally my favorite protein mix is Jay Robb. The taste is great, there is no after taste and you get 25 grams of protein.

I'm a runner who uses this and have had good results. It is the right combination of carbs and protein necessary after a good workout. The mix tastes good but doesn't mix so well. If you're using a spoon to mix it, you'll need about 3 times the recommended amount of milk/water/drink to get it to dissolve. Overall it's a good product that I'll continue using.

I've cycled through probably 5 different meal replacement packets on and off over the past few years and they're all pretty similar - thick, clumpy, and ranging from "school glue" to "eh" in flavor - but the Optimum Nutrition packs (the strawberry in particular) are actually bordering on tasty. They have a bit of added fiber as well, so I no longer have to add a fiber bar to the end of every shake. And on top of all that, they have the distinction of being the only complete MRP I've ever used that can actually be stirred to drink-ability with just a spoon. Everything else requires a trip through the blender or it's like drinking chicken and dumplings.

After trying a half dozen different brands of protein powder, I finally hit upon the balance I was looking for with this.Most of the mainstream brands available are made with large amounts of aspartame and artificial flavor which I find unpleasant, as well as unhealthy, for daily consumption.Also available are several products that contain various forms of protein, but no flavoring at all.Most of these seem to have an intolerable bitter flavor that I simply could not force myself to consume (even after adding Hershey's syrup to the milk).

This product was the perfect balance.It has a very mild cocoa flavor (similar to the flavor of Ovaltine, for example, but even more mild) that leaves your milk just as refreshing as before you add it.It is even tolerable in water, which I have not found competing products to be.

Though I'm not big into the concept of health-food, I would say that if I am going to add a mandatory component to my daily routine, it's a plus if it is a healthy solution.

DESIGNER WHEY Protein 2GO Pak, Pomegranate Fruit has agreat amount of protein but it is full of so many artificial ingredients. While it gave me the energy boost it claims it does, There is just so many things wrong with it.

CONS
1. the Artificial ingredients such as sucralose/Splenda, artificial flavoring
2. It doesn't completely dissolve in cold water. When I gave this a second try, I had to add some hot water to dissolve it completely.
3. Bad Taste - While the flavoring wasn't bad, the other ingredients overpower the flavor, making it taste horrible.
4. Bad Smell - Once mixed, the concoction does not have a pleasant smell
PROS
1. Contains anti-oxidants and vitamins
2. 10 Grams of protein per serving

If you need a why protein supplement, I suggest going with Designer whey's Double Chocolate, french Vanilla or orange mango flavors. Those taste much better
