I have just ordered another box of the Organic Food Bars.They are great and have a wonderful taste, too.
I was in the hospital and had my gallbladder removed.I was told to avoid fat so I decided to try these bars two days afterward.They have almond butter but everything is very smooth and there are no visible pieces of nuts. It worked great!No problems with digestion and it tasted great, too... with raw foods to help give my health a boost. Great bars.I'm on my second box.

We discovered Luna Bars at a grocery store recently when they were on sale for a dollar apiece. We bought one of each kind to see which ones we like best. We figured for that price how could we go wrong. Well after trying all of them, my wife has weighed in...

HER FAVORITE: Chocolate Pecan Pie.

She loves Chocolate. She lives on Chocolate. And since we're on a diet similar to Body for Life and has a hard time stomaching the whey-filled protein bars, these are a welcome treat. They aren't overloaded with protein, but for the calories are extremely comparable to the leading protein bars (in a calorie-protein ratio comparison). Our only complain with the bars is that they're a little high in fat, especially saturated. Nevertheless, they are much, much better than most other treats out there.

Now, where to buy? Well Amazon of course. It is great. Amazon is the same price as local stores when they are on sale except Amazon provides free shipping and no tax (not to mention no driving to the grocery store or healthfood store) so they actually end up being cheaper on here everyday than elsewhere on sale. We always buy all of our drinks and bars on Amazon. A word of caution though, be careful which Amazon vender you buy from. Vitamin Shoppe is usually the cheapest but sometimes direct from Amazon is comparable. The other venders tend to be more expensive. Hope this helps.

The "CarbRite Chocolate Brownie Bars" are a good choice for those seeking low carb snacks. Being a type 2 diabetic, I am always looking for low carb products that taste good. Here are my observations:

Pros:
+ Good Tasting; these are not candy bars, but they taste much better than most other "low carb" bars I have tried
+ Low Carb; only 2.5 NET carbs, but a lot of the other carbs come from Maltitol (see "Cons", below)
+ High Protein; 21g per bar
+ Very Filling; unlike a lot of other low carb snacks, these bars are actually fairly filling (likely due to the high protein content)

Cons:
- Contains Maltitol, which can cause "gastric distress" in some people - start of with small amounts if you don't know it will affect your system

Misc:
* 190 Calories per bar
* Chewy Consistency

Overall, these bars are a satisfying low carb snack choice that have a good flavor and do not significantly impact my blood sugar levels.
