Hollywood 48 hr Miracle Diet Review

I bought the Hollywood 48 Hour Miracle Diet a year ago hoping to lose a few pounds quickly to help motivate me to get a jump start into maintaining my weight. I followed the instructions explicitly. The taste was actually pleasant and I didn't find myself getting hungry at all while using it. However, I ended up becoming violently sick during the second day and didn't feel any better until my husband literally forced me to eat a slice of dry toast. After some online research and checking other consumer complaints, I learned that this type of reaction is definitely not unheard of. However, the product had listed no such side effects on it's packaging (I'm not sure if they put it on the bottle now). To boot, I did not lose an ounce of weight (not even water weight, which is pretty much all this product is really meant to do...)

On the bottle was a 100% satisfaction guarantee, stating that if I was unsatisfied in ANY WAY, to mail the receipt and proof of purchase (a label on the bottle) within 30 days, and a full refund would be granted. I sent the proper documentation in the next day. After several weeks and receiving no notice of a refund being processed, I wrote a second letter inquiring as to the status of my refund. No answer. I went to their website and send an email to their customer service. Again, I was never answered, and NO refund was given. I actually forgot about it until I saw an ad for it today, over a year later, and when I saw that there were no reviews for this product I felt I had to share my experience with other consumers before someone else was tempted to try this awful product.

I should have known better than to try something with the word "miracle" in it, but at the time I was pretty stupid and desperate for a jump start. Don't make the same mistake I did, or you'll find yourself out $25, sick, and wondering why on earth you fell for such a thing.

I was reluctant to buy the hype, but a couple other guys I work with were on the diet.I figured, "what the heck, it is cheaper than I spend on lunch each week."These are not Oreos by any means, but they do what they claim, I am 15 lbs lighter, down from 270 to 255 just following the plan.I get hungry, I eat a cookie, about every 2-2.5 hours.I eat a 12oz of meat each evening just like the plan calls for.Not the tastiest way to lose weight, but it works.I got overweight by eating nothing but tasty food, this is my penance.

I got my first package right around the time the Nov 27th review was placed.It is true that they aren't very good straight out of the package.However, I noticed that on the outside (bottom) of some of the package it says "Microwaveable for 10-20 seconds".When I microwaved them, I discovered that the heat somehow brings out their natural sweetness, and from that point on, I actually looked forward to my morning snack!!!The blueberry, oatmeal-raising, and chocolate chip all tasted wonderful when heated.The cranberry muffins couldn't be helped for anything...they tasted like dog food warm or cold.But that is why I purchased this variety pack--so I could decide for myself!I actually just logged on here to purchase larger portions of the cookies....no more cranberry for me though!

BTW--If I microwaved my cookie for more than 12 seconds in my microwave, I noticed it burnt a little on the inside....and they seem to turn out better when I put a cup of wather in with them.

Herbal Hollywood Diet 32z ( Multi-Pack) Review

I use this product for 2 days at a time maybe twice a month. I usually use it when there has been a weekend where I just ate and drank too much and suddenly I'm bloated and 4 lbs heavier. It really does the trick. It keeps me from being hungry when I sip it as directed. It cleanses your system so you're back to what you were before, plus some sometimes. Though, a lot of it is excess water and waste you are cleansing, it's a very very good start point for any diet or even a regular fitness schedule.
With this I end up losing about 7 lbs over the 2 days of excess waste and water, and I don't usually feel hungry. The few times that I was I just ate a small meal bar or some snack crackers and I was fine.

This is not something that will replace your regular diet and exercise, but to be used with it for the advantages it provides. Overall I'm happy with it and would recommend it for that use. As far as I can tell there isn't anything in it that would be harmful to mix with common medications like adderall or anti-depressants, but of course check with your physician.

Smart for Life - 14 Day Chocolate Lovers Pack - 14 Packs Chocolate Chip Cookies Review

I initially heard about the cookies diets in a health magazine and decided to give it a try. I started by getting a sample pack of the Smart for Life and the Hollywood cookie diet and tried each for a few days. I definately preferred the Smart for Life brand cookies. They seem to control your hunger much better than the Hollywood Diet cookies. There wasn't much to them. In fact I found it easy to only eat 4 cookies from morning to dinner time so that really cuts down on the cost of the program.
I also prefer the cookies over the shakes and pudding that are available. I read several reviews from people complaining about the taste which I find a little humorous. Yeah they don't taste like rich buttery cookies but this is a diet. If you aren't willing to make some sacrafices in what you eat no diet will work for you. The cookies do have a unique texture and will take a few days to get used to but I actually look forward to them now and like the taste. The chocolate ones are very good when heated in the microwave. Very much like a soft brownie.
Bottom line, I lost 25 pounds in less than 2 months. I now only eat the cookies a few times a week and eat sensible meals the other days. I have not gained a pound back.
