This product will give you a reading, step off, step back on and it gives you a completely different reading.I have learned to weigh myself three times and take the average.Not impressed.

The SC-540 is a very light-weight product, can be easily moved around. Large lettering to see your stats clearly. It shows you what your last reading was when you turn it on.Only complaint: you have to read the stats very quick and know what the numbers mean because it flashes on for 1-2 seconds with 2 sets of 5 indexes on each screen. (whew, all in one breath!). You also have to be barefoot with your feet slightly moist to get your readings, so be ready to stand on some cold stainless steel for about 10 seconds!
We put up with our old scale for many years, until it finally died--thank goodness because it wasn't very accurate or consistent. We bought this HoMedics SC-475 a few weeks ago and are very impressed with it. It is accurate and consistent. The readout is so clear and big that I (age 80) don't need my glasses to see it. It feels sturdily made.
