I have been using the Irwin Carb Blocker phase 2 for over a year and I love it. You can't expect miracles within first week, but I lost about 6lbs the first month, and then about 5 more lbs over another month or so. Since I only needed to lose 10 lbs, I thought that was great. Now, I don't diet at all, in fact my normal breakfast is fast food on my way to work either at Burger King or Starbucks, and eating out most nights for dinner since my husband and I have been working late, and I have not gained even 1 lb back! Before, I had tried to follow very stict diets, different diet pills etc and nothing helped me lose this weight. I exercise daily, and I finished the entire bottle. I saw no change in my weight fluctuations. My bodyweight was basically reacting the same as it did before I took these. It seems the mode of action of these pills is to block a type of amylase which breaks down carbohydrates. Well, your body can produce more than one type of enzyme to break them down. Another thing to note here is the fact that all the 5 star reviews are people who have only reviewed THIS item, which makes me question either the integrity of the seller and/or the manufacturer of this product.
