I love cinnamon. I enjoy the smell and taste of it. I add it to my coffee. I add it to my cereal and baked goods. When I have a cold, I make a ginger tea with cinnamon and honey. I even use it as an air freshener.
New Chapter's Cinnamonforce Softgels are a neat product. They make it easy for you to reap the benefits of cinnamon in a petite, easy to take capsule form . Of course, you are paying for the privelege. I probably don't need these tablets as I likely get enough of it through regular consumption of my favorite variety (Vietnamese Extra Fancy).
The reason these capsules work to maintain healthy blood sugar levels is because a major component of cinnamon is Chromium Picolinate. It is widely documented Chromium is a key component to regulating insulin and maintaining optimal blood sugar levels. It is conceivable that one could take it in place of cinnamon and reap the same benefits at a lower cost as well. Some people are sensitive to cinnamon and experience side effects, so this supplement is not for everyone.
While I like them, I do not think I'll be purchasing them again. I get enough cinnamon in my regular diet and can't see paying a premium for more. And my waist size hasn't shrunk since starting to take these (too be fair, the holidays just ended). However, they might be a good option for someone else. There are less expensive alternatives out there but none that come in a formula similar to New Chapter's unique blend.
